Whole of system warranty policy

Warranty Coverage

Krypton Group Pty. Ltd. warrants that the entire installed Solar PV System to be free of all defects in operation and performance, material or workmanship for a period of 5 years from the date of installation. This warranty extends to the original owner and each successive owner within the warranty period.

Within the period of this warranty, Krypton Group Pty. Ltd, will repair or replace, free of charge, any part proving defective in material or workmanship. All warranty repairs and service must be performed by an Electrician who is employed/contracted by Krypton Group Pty. Ltd.

All expenses related to replacing or repairing a defective part under this warranty shall be assumed by Krypton Group Pty. Ltd.

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not apply to any costs, repairs or services for the following:

  • Damages caused by the owner modifying, attempting to fix, or otherwise altering the products.
  • Damages resulting from circumstances beyond human control (for example, force majeure events, possums, extreme weather)

How to Obtain Warranty Service

The owner must notify Krypton Group Pty. Ltd.

  • By directly calling Krypton Group Pty. Ltd. on 03 9000 0083 or 0435099900
  • By emailing Krypton Group Pty. Ltd. on [email protected]
  • By sending a physical mail with your warranty issue to 408/235 Queen St Melbourne VIC 3000

regarding any defect, malfunction or nonconformity promptly upon discovery. An Electrician shall visit the installation site for the purpose of repairing or replacing the defective part within 5 business days of receipt of such notification.

Limitation of Damages

In no event shall Krypton Group Pty. Ltd. be liable for any incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to the owner.

Registration Card (for select installs)

Krypton Group Pty. Ltd. recommends that the owner fill out and send in the registration card included in the post-installation documents sent after the Solar PV System is installed. This will facilitate any warranty repairs or service, if needed. It is not required that the owner send in this registration card for this warranty to be effective.

Notice to Owner

This warranty gives the owner specific legal rights and may also give other rights which vary from state to state. The owner has the right to bring any action under law or equity to resolve disputes concerning, or to enforce the provisions of this warranty.

If the owner disagrees over performance under the terms of this warranty, the owner may submit the matter for resolution to the Dispute Settlement Centre of Victoria. The owner shall be responsible for expenses incurred in submitting a dispute for resolution under the terms of this paragraph, which will be settled in terms as per the Award passed therein upon adjudication. The owner is required to submit any dispute for resolution under this paragraph, as a mandatory preliminary step before pursuing any legal remedies to which he or she may be entitled to or prefer.
